Margarita Rodriguez Ortiz
Mrs. Margarita Rodriguez Ortiz has been in education for over thirty years teaching English in a variety of settings, both public and private, to students in grades sixth through twelfth and higher education level in New York, Florida, and Puerto Rico. She worked for five years as a High School assistant principal in Puerto Rico. This is her third year teaching fifth grade (Spanish) TWI and AAP at Braddock Elementary.
Her teaching philosophy is a constructivist, student-centered one and her passion for instilling in student’s motivation and drive for knowledge has been evident throughout her teaching career.
Furthermore, she holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Elementary and Secondary from University of Puerto Rico and a Master’s Degree in Educational Management and Leadership from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico.
Mrs. Rodriguez enjoys spending time with her daughters and grandchildren on weekends. She also loves to travel and always visits her beautiful island of Puerto Rico every summer.
