The BES Student Ambassadors chose to make Valentine’s Day cards for their service-learning project in February. The Ambassadors created cards for children and soldiers to show how much they are cared for, especially on Valentine’s Day. Cards were delivered to Fairfax INOVA Hospital's Children's wing with the help of Ms. Hinkson, one of the BES Student Ambassador’s mentors.

The BES Student Ambassadors meet weekly to complete service-learning opportunities for the school and surrounding community. Students apply Portrait of a Graduate attributes during each session to learn how to be a student leader inside and outside of school. School mentors including Ms. Hinkson, Ms. Matthews, Mr. Rimson, and Ms. Vereen, support students throughout their sessions and guide students to become productive citizens of a global community.
