Braddock Elementary School hosted a vibrant Computer Science/STEAM Fair on August 1. The event, a culmination of the XSTREAM Summer Program, showcased the innovative projects and problem-solving skills of our students.

Special guests Dr. Reid and Supervisor Walkinshaw joined the festivities, lending their support to the next generation of scientists, engineers, and technologists. The fair was a collaborative effort with XSTREAM partners VTARC, TYI, and HYI, who provided engaging activities and mentorship. Neighborhood Community Services Summer SACC students also participated in the event.

In addition to our XSTREAM partners, numerous community organizations participated, including Fairfax Soil & Water, Read On Young Readers, the FEA, the Girl Scouts, SEVA Truck Foundation, Rosie Riveters, and the Heritage Community Center. Students and families alike enjoyed exploring the various exhibits and learning about different STEM-related fields.

The STEAM Fair was a resounding success, inspiring students to pursue further exploration in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
