On Thursday, April 14th, Annandale High School hosted the Pyramid Art Show, which showcased the artwork from students at Annandale High in addition to the students who attend the middle and elementary schools that filter into Annandale. As one of the schools which feeds into Annandale High, Braddock Elementary students got the opportunity to participate in this event. Students from all grades displayed their art projects and showed off their creativity. The Pyramid Art Show is a huge opportunity for students, especially kids of a younger age, to present their art in a more professional manner. The show is not only a chance for students to show off their talents, but to get a better idea of what art will be like as it gets more serious in higher grade levels.

Through their art, Braddock Elementary School students expressed how they pictured aspects of their life. Some of their art included; landscapes, portraits of friends and pets, and self-portraits. The art that students have and are creating is a way for them to express themselves and what they are thinking. The projects in which art classes have students participate challenge the students and get them thinking creatively about their lives. Art truly is an amazing opportunity for kids to think differently about the world around them and participate in an extracurricular activity that brings them joy.
